Jan Makowski started his studies at Chemnity University of Technology in Chemnitz, Germany. After 3 years of studies, he came to the University of Minnesota on a Fulbright scholarship. He received his MSEE in May 2006 and his PhD in December 2008. His research focused on MOEMS using InP/InGaAs heterostructures.
Post-graduation, Dr. Makowski accepted a position with Bosch Group in his native Germany.
