Mohd Suffian Zamali is from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He attended the University of Minnesota for his undergraduate studies under a full scholarship from the Malaysian National Electricity Company, and received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) in 2003. He earned a M.S. with the group in 2005 following research area on optical coatings for high-power laser applications and finite-element modeling of optical MEMS.
Suffian is currently at FSR Technology Sdn Bhd.
